Hi, my name is Christopher Michael Prime, or as my friends call me, Chris.P.
I’ve spent most of my working life helping people have great experiences.
Whether that’s been through hospitality, running workshops and seminars, or coaching people one-on-one, I’ve never really been about selling a product. For me, it’s always been about the experience people have.
Being a celebrant is really no different.
My role is actually pretty straightforward. I want to get to know you. I want to understand who you are as a couple, what brought you together, and what matters to you. Then my job is to take all of that and help create a ceremony that feels like you.
I’ll always offer suggestions and recommendations. I’ll tell you what I think will work and what I think might not. That’s part of my job.
But at the end of the day, it’s your story and it’s your wedding.
I believe there needs to be a balance between depth and warmth.
For me, a wedding ceremony isn’t just a legal formality wrapped in a celebration. There is a seriousness to two people standing in front of the people they love and publicly choosing each other.
I think that moment deserves to be honoured.
But I also think we should have some fun.
I want people to laugh. I want them to feel something. And when the ceremony is finished, I want you and your guests to walk away thinking, “Fuck, that was good.”
Maybe not out loud.
But that’s the goal.
If you’re looking for depth and humour, with the right balance and timing, then we should probably have a chat.
